Conservative Group Leader Cllr Jeanette Skeats has announced her new team on Reading Borough Council following the elections held on 22 May.
The Shadow Cabinet for the next Council year will be:
Cllr Jeanette Skeats – Leader (and Licensing Spokesman)
Cllr Richard Willis – Deputy Leader and Strategic Environment Planning & Transport
Cllr David Stevens – Finance
Cllr Isobel Ballsdon – Education
Cllr Jane Stanford-Beale – Children’s Services & Health
Cllr Sandra Vickers – Adult Social Care
Cllr James Anderson – Culture, Sport & Consumer Services
Cllr Ed Hopper – Housing & Neighbourhoods
Conservative Leader Cllr Jeanette Skeats said, “I am pleased to announce a strong team of spokespeople to hold Labour to account and promote the Conservative message of high quality services and better value for money. Over the next year we will speak up for the people of Reading and continue to call for a freeze or cut in the Council Tax funded by the removal of wasteful spending.”
