Berkshire Conservatives were keen to meet Baroness Sayeeda Warsi, Co-Chairman of the Conservative Party and Minister without Portfolio, when she attended a dinner with Conservative members from all the local Associations tonight at the Shehnai Suites on London Street in Reading. Sayeeda spoke and took questions from the audience following a delicious meal of the best British Asian cuisine.
Sayeeda talked of her upbringing and her political journey. She reminded us that in multicultural Britain we share the same values of wanting decency, honesty and respect and that hard work should be rewarded. Supporters and members from Reading East, Wokingham, Maidenhead. Reading West and Bracknell were delighted to have the opportunity to chat with Sayeeda and ask questions on a broad spectrum of topics such as the EC, African agriculture, empowering women, education and Coalition policy making.
It was fantastic to see Conservatives from all over Berkshire join together for a great evening of good food, fine company and stirring speaking.
